How to program the Vivitar universal remote?

Method 1: Code Input

• Turn on your device (For example TV)
• Press and hold the device key (TV/CBL/VCR/DVD) for 3 seconds, the LED light will stay ON, then release the key
• Now, enter the one 4-digit code from the given list
• The LED light will turn OFF once every digit is input
• When you input all 4 digits, the LED will turn OFF, and it indicates that your code is accepted
• If the LED indicator blinks twice and remains turned ON, it means your code is not accepted
• Try with another code from the list or code booklet

Now, aim the remote to your device and check whether all the function keys are properly working.

What to remember?

During programming, taking a break of 30 seconds at any step mentioned above will exit your remote from the programming mode. Similarly, pressing any keys other than the number keys will also take you out of the programming mode.

• Turn on your device

Then press and hold down the MUTE key, and the LED indicator will be turned OFF. The remote control will send code data quickly to the device, and the LED blinks very quickly.
