I get why some people feel like this story drags or that the MC is annoying. But to me, I just adore her and all of the characters.

This is a very relationship driven plot. There is some action thrown in (the passing crossovers into different genres is hilarious), but everything is about advancing character development and relationships in an organic way. I think it’s beautiful. If that’s not your thing, then maybe pass this one up.

1: Unlike many other stories like this, the MC has to struggle with her position being impermanent in that world. It’s thrown in her face repeatedly, and as a reader, I cried with her

when she was pulled back to the real world periodically.

It adds a painful tension that is addressed beautifully when the time comes.

2: WHY certain characters fall for her actually makes sense. Others might disagree, but that’s how I feel.

One falls for her because she clearly doesn’t want anything from him; she sees him as just a male lead for her friend. His comfort around her turns over time into sincere affection and admiration for her character. Her unwillingness to recognize his affection ALSO makes sense—because he literally told her that he liked her because she expected nothing from him and is comfortable to be around. If that were me, I’d be terrified to develop feelings for him and potentially lose that relationship too.

The end game ML is not who I expected at the beginning.

Jiho makes perfect sense in the long run, however, especially when you realize how Jiho purposefully broke away from the novel’s path and his own habits to CHOOSE to befriend her instead of judging her for her weaknesses. Just as the MC broke from the path of the novel early, so did Jiho. And he sincerely truly cares for her and takes her comfort into consideration. It’s also really funny to see him constantly putting his foot in his mouth and being overly aggressive and then reaping the consequences lol. Also unlike others, he never befriended her just because she treated him “normally.” To me that makes their relationship much more rich.

3: I LOVE the “female lead” best friend. She is so incredibly charming and delightful. Their friendship is so sweet, and the challenges of being constantly compared to someone basically perfect are handled so well. The MC of course values the friendship as more important than being the target of rumors, but it’s also very sweet to see the MC healing through her interactions with other characters. Side note: the female lead’s end game love interest is SO INCREDIBLY CUTE WITH HER IT HURTS. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

4: The characters are just so likable. I just love every single one of them. I love how their depth reveals itself over time. Ugh.

5: As for the plot dragging…Idk. I was there for all the angst and cuteness and laughs. I love relationship driven plots, and I do love the recurring theme of learning to trust your friends and rely on them.

MC seems to be an INFP—private, feels deeply, slow to trust, sometimes indecisive—but also very loyal and witty at times. Some people find that annoying, but I found her very realistic and likable.

Its just funny scenarios with funny characters. Barely any romance, just friends and mystery.

EDIT: When is this going to be over? (I still like it, but like it needs to end.)

Can't believe i'm 162 chapters in and if this is a romance i still cant see where or with who. She seems loved by a lot of people but has no deep feelings of her own and no preferences. The story started off interesting but at this point it's seemingly lost sight of any plot or development. Short of she has learned how to be a better friend and be more present instead of getting caught up in her own anxiety's. That's pretty abysmal for 162 chapters though. Taking slow romance to a whole other level. Even with the slowest romances you usually have an idea who the male lead is 162 chapters in!

MC is so indecisive it's super annoying. And she's really, REALLY oblivious to the feelings of the people around her. If she truly did not want to get involved with the main characters, why not move? Or try to get enrolled into a boarding school or something. This was just a really silly novel in that sense.

120+ chapters and nothing much happened more than half of which was dealing with her fears and insecurities over and over again and we still barely know anything about why she transmigrated i was hoping we would find out more eventually like maybe a parallel universe but clearly i was on a heavy dose of hopium the only positives were that the art and friendships were cute although very mc focused like everything centered around the main character for no apparent reason and that got really stale after a while my mistake for not reading the comments here before i started reading

Frustratingly dull and directionless. Feels like you're always waiting for something to happen and nothing does. The FL is a classic-style Mary Sue who spends 80% of her time pushing her friends away but because she's the main character, everybody loves her unconditionally. Nearly every arc is:
- FL decides she wants to distance herself from her friends for some dumb reason
- They get sad about it and have to convince her to open up to them again
Rinse and repeat. No real development or anything, just one step forward one step back forever.

Here, I'll sum up every single conflict that's happened 60 chapters in.

Dan-I's good friend, faithlessly devoted to her, wants nothing but her happiness: Dan-I, if you're suffering, just know that I will do everything in my power to help you and everyone else you knows wants to help you too. All you have to do is open up to us because we consider you our deepest friend and do not want to see you suffer.
Dan-I (thinking to herself): No way in hell am I telling this character anything.

Aight, so. This webtoon has good ratings, good art, and an interesting premise. So I decided to give it a try.

Wrong choice.

The main character is your typical "I don't do jacksh*t but everyone loves and obsesses over me anyway" girl. She's also as dense as a rock. Sighs. Dan-i is the main character, can't we get someone who's not a carbon copy of all other shoujo female leads?

The side characters don't really help, as well. Yes, I know they're characters in a novel and they're supposed to be clichés, but goddamn the sheer predictability of their actions truly grated on my nerves.

I was wasting my time and I knew it, but I kept reading anyway because maybe something interesting or unpredictable would happen down the line? Hint: nope. Nothing, your honor.

On a more positive note, their friendship is kinda cute and wholesome, and the art is indeed good. But that's pretty much it.

Perhaps I'm just not the target audience.
