2021 Bad Boy with Kohler KT740 with 83hrs. Ran fine yesterday mowed for two hours. Then filled it with gas and put it away. Today it is running rough and
has no power. I changed the fuel filter and the spark plugs. The plugs are XC12YC. I didn't have any so I used RC12YC plugs. I only have one spark tester.
Seems like the spark on the right side jumps more. Thinking the right side coil is weak?
Don't think it's the gas. I siphoned some out of the gas from the Bad Boy and put it in my Toro so I could finish mowing.

All the crud in your gas can went to the bottom of the mower tank. Clean out the tank and carburetor. Siphoning won't get it out.

Since you said you just put gas in it right before the problem, I would run some gas from the fuel pump into a clear container and let it sit for 10 minutes.

Pretty sure I have a bad coil on the right side. I have a new coil ordered. Kohler calls it a digital ignition module. The Kohler dealer here sold the only one they had the day before I called.
The fuel shouldn't be the problem. I fill a 250 gallon barrel each spring. I've been using the same gas in all my mowers, tractors, and pickup. Only the Bad Boy is having a problem.
I was mowing the village cemetery. It was day two of three days. The Bad Boy wouldn't run so I used the smaller Toro. It needed gas to finish the morning. That is why I siphoned gas out of the bad Boy mower so I wouldn't have to drive back home to get fuel for the Toro. Finished the cemetery this morning just before the rain. The Toro ran like a champ.

Had to replace the coil on my son in laws Bad Boy the other day. Wouldn't crank with one plug wire off but would crank with the other one off. I can't pull a plug wire when running without getting shocked so I cheated and did it this way.
