You basically order your kit, create your impressions once you get the kit, and mail it in.
Once they get your impression they start making your guard right away and mail it to you.

Smile Brilliant sent me my Impression kit and while it seemed easy enough, I must admit I was nervous to do the impression myself.
It took me a few days to actually open the box and start the impressions, I wanted to make sure I read the instructions, had everything prepared, and was ready to go.
They have instructions included and I was able to create a good impression on my first try. Don’t worry they give you extra material JUST IN CASE you get the first one wrong.
The “hardest” part I would say is just making sure the paste doesn’t harden before you make your impression. They make sure you know this and give you clear step-by-step instructions so MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.

The girl in the video is using the teeth whitening kit and not the night guard kit so she has two impressions to make but the process is the same. If you order the night guard you’ll only have to make one impression of either the upper or the lower.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR DENTAL IMPRESSIONS FROM SMILE BRILLIANT
You can choose to do an impression of your upper or lower teeth. For me, I felt the upper teeth would be the best option.
Below is a picture of my impression kit along with my first impression. It wasn’t that hard after carefully reading the instructions and watching the video. They even give you the option to email them a picture of your impression if you want them to review it before you put it in the mail. You can call their help line as well.
Once my impression was done I left it to harden per instructions then rinsed it and put it in the return mailer. I mailed my impression in and about two weeks later I got my night guard in the mail.
At first glance, it doesn’t look like much but it is so comfortable and I love how it feels at night. It fit perfectly and definitely helps! I feel much better knowing my teeth are being protected at night while I sleep and my teeth have not been hurting.
