If you are feeling fearful or disempowered in any way, rub your stomach and ask yourself “what am I feeling? What am I feeling?’ This will firstly ground you, so that better decisions will be made but it will also allow you to focus and tap in to the personal strength and power you naturally have available to you through this chakra centre.

2. Eat yellow foods.

Eating foods that are yellow (or orange ) will help increase energy in this area. As well as being what our thoughts and actions are, we are also what we eat and food can be a great way to boost this during the day. Lemons are ideal as not only are they yellow, but they will also work internally on your health, detoxing and brightening up your organs!

3. Set a goal and take action

Set at least one goal every day that is actionable and achievable and go get it done! This creates the habit of achieving and accomplishing the goals we set and as they become bigger, we are less fearful of taking the actions required. Personal empowerment comes through habits such as this.

4. Have yellow around you

In my office I like to have colour. Each week (or day!) I decide what area in my chakras may need strengthening and add more of that colour. Just so happens while writing this article I have beautiful yellow lillies in a vase, just about to flower. The yellow of these will remind me to stand tall and check in on my confidence and empowered state regularly.
